Kadhi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup curd
  • 3 cups water
  • ¼ tsp hing
  • ½ tsp haldi
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp besan
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • ½ tsp fine chopped garlic
  • ¼ tsp mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp jeera
  • Curry leaves

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

In a bowl, mix all the above ingredients until the batter becomes smooth and there are no lumps

Step 2

In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. As they splutter, add jeera, garlic, and curry leaves

Step 3

Lower the heat and the kadhi mixture. Mix well and let it boil

Step 4

If kadhi is too thick, mix water and boil

Step 5

Serve hot with rice
